Common Symptoms & Injuries

Solved

Here are some common symptoms and injuries that runners experience that are often linked to poor footwear. Getting expertly fitted will change your gait and biomechanics, and that in turn will allow the pain/injury to heal.

Lower Leg Pain

"I would have bad shin splints after activities, especially when I ran for a while, it would keep me up at night because of the pain/cramps. After the fitting, I haven’t had any shin splints when I wear the insoles I was fitted for."

Impact on Landing

"First, my new shoes are far lighter. The arch support is very noticeable and far more comfortable. Running is way better as I feel like I glide over the path rather than each step feeling heavy and slamming into it. My whole leg feels more supported, my knee pain while running hasn't ever occurred as long as I have been in the new shoes."

Spencer Schuh

Comfort

Previous clients rated the comfort of their shoes after wearing them for several months. The average rating was a 9.4 out of 10 for their custom fitted shoes compared to a 6.3 for their previous shoes.

That's an increase of 31%!

Knee Pain

"Had quad pain when running with my previous shoe, after switching shoes the pain when running disappeared."

Increase Strength

"After I was fitted by Jeb, I noticed that I was able to run further without having my feet cramp or be sore. Having the correct shoes and insoles also helped strengthen my feet and improved my posture."

Neuroma

Personal experience on this one: I had a neuroma that prevented me from walking barefoot because of the pain. After two weeks I decided it wasn't going away on its own, so I grabbed an insole that corrects Morton's Foot (the cause of most neuromas). Four days later and my pain was gone.

Hip & Low Back Pain

"It used to feel like I was always on the outer edge of my foot and I just assumed that was how my body was structured but I don’t notice that with the current shoes. It also feels like more of my body is engaged when I’m walking. At first it meant I got sore on my usual mileage walks vs being fine in the old shoes but now that I have had several well fitted pairs, I don’t get sore in my feet, low back, or hips with moderate or even longer mileage."
